About VoiceDot
Every dot on this globe is a real person's voice — a short story about a place, a memory, a feeling. Tap one and hear someone from the other side of the world.
We can still hear each other. Record your story — people around the world will listen, and some will reply with their own voice.
Why this project exists
VoiceDot is dedicated to the victims of the war against Ukraine.
I had a home. I had a city — streets I could walk with my eyes closed, places that held my whole childhood. The war came and took all of it. There is no address left for me to return to. When I want to go home now, I can only close my eyes and remember.
No more wars. Not anywhere, not ever.
I cannot rebuild what was destroyed. So I built this instead — a place where no voice can be erased. Wars need people to turn into dots on a map: targets, numbers, statistics. This globe does the opposite. Tap a dot, and it turns back into a person — someone's whole world, someone's home, someone's memory.
VoiceDot exists so that people live and love each other. So that no one ever reaches for what is not theirs — someone else's land, someone else's home, someone else's peace. That is the whole idea. There is no other.
A world painted by feelings
When you record your story, you choose the emotion it carries — joy, sadness, anger, fear, calm, or love. And that choice does something bigger than you'd expect: it colors your country on the globe.
Enough joyful voices, and a country glows golden. Grief turns it blue. Love paints it pink. Zoom out, and you are looking at something no news channel can show you — an honest, living map of how the world actually feels. No polls, no algorithms, no headlines. Just people, telling the truth about what is in their hearts — one voice at a time.
A riddle, for the curious
Right now, far beyond the planets, in the cold and the dark, a small spacecraft is drifting away from us. It has been flying for almost fifty years. It carries no weapons — only human voices: greetings, laughter, music, a heartbeat. Just in case someone out there, someday, is listening.
We pinned voices to a globe for the same reason.
Zoom all the way out and look into the dark. Depending on what device you're on… you might find it.
How it works
- Listen — tap any dot on the globe to hear a real voice from that place. No account needed.
- Record — press the microphone button, tell your story, choose the emotion it carries, and pin it to your place on the map. Your emotion joins the others in coloring your country. You can post as a guest or sign in with Google.
- Reply — leave a comment on any voice, or answer it with a voice of your own.
Add your voice
The globe is waiting for your story. It only takes a minute — and it means that somewhere, someone will hear that you were here: alive, human, and impossible to erase.
